About Us
The Montgomery County Chapter was established as a
charter chapter of HLAA in 1981. The purpose of our
chapter is to provide:
- SUPPORT - dedication to helping
people who are hard of hearing learn to cope with
hearing loss and to improve the quality of relationships
between hard of hearing and hearing people.

- EDUCATION - learn about hearing
loss, its detection and management, and prevention
of further hearing loss. Members also learn about
assistive listening devices and systems and how they
can improve communication.

- ACCESS - promote a climate in which
people who are hard of hearing can gain access to
assistive listening devices in theaters, public buildings,
airports, medical facilities and wherever people meet.
We also have an email list to keep you informed of
local events in Montgomery County, the state or in nearby
areas. To join the free newsletter go to the HLAA
- MC Email List and sign up.
